Louis Mario Gonzales was born November 27, 1964 in Las Animas, Colorado to Santos and Wilma June (Dodson) Gonzales. He passed away August 12, 2014 at his home in Las Animas.

Louis was an avid outdoors man who loved to fish and hike, and loved taking his nephews along with him. Louis graduated from Las Animas High School and CSU in Fort Collins. He worked at various jobs over the years, his latest as a Facilities Manager for the government. He was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Las Animas.

Louis is survived by his father Santos Gonzales of Las Animas; brother, Rick Powers of Las Animas; sister, Linda Powers-Ricken of Fayetteville, CO; many nephews and nieces, as well as many other relatives and friends. There are no services scheduled at this time.
