Hospice Donation Clarification

Southeast Colorado residents should not confuse the Lamar Area Hospice with a Virginia donation group known as The Hospice Support Fund.  Deb Pelley, Lamar Area Hospice Director, told The Prowers Journal, some local residents may become confused with a recent local mailing from the Virginia organization which headlines their solicitation letters with “2014 Lamar Area Annual Fund Drive”.  They have NO affiliation with the Lamar Area Hospice.

The form letter lists the Fund’s address as originating in Merrifield, VA and does not contain any phone numbers to contact the organization.  A quick Google check shows this mailing occurs in several other parts of the country, using the same format, headlining by name, a local hospice organization, but using the Virginia mailing address as the place where your donations will go.  Contact the Lamar Area Hospice for information at 719-336-2100.
