Honkers Welcome Colorado Gardens to Lamar

Lamar Honkers, along with board members from the Lamar Chamber, paid a welcoming visit to Colorado Gardens, LLC on West Highway 50 in Lamar.

The new farmer’s market opened for business on July 26 and is open seven days a week through the growing and harvesting season, approximately mid October. Rocky Ford farmers have ear-marked several hundred acres to produce the fruits and vegetables which are delivered to the new market through the week. The new store is the collaboration of three owners, Del Ensor, and farmers Michael Hirakata and Matthew Proctor from the Rocky Ford area, and their farms will supply the produce to this section of southeast Colorado.
