LCC Unveils New Logo

New LCC LogoSeveral dozen staff and faculty from Lamar Community College, as well as various municipal representatives were on hand for the unveiling of a new logo for the community college.  LCC President John Marrin, addressed the gathering Thursday morning, July 10 to explain why the college administration decided it was time for a new brand for the school.

New LCC Logo (1)“We want something that represents LCC directly,” Marrin said.  “The burning aspen leaf has been our logo for a number of years and was once required by the state community college system.”  He said that all the community colleges in the state had the same logo for quite some time.  “This new logo will help promote our agricultural heritage in the community as well as the diverse opportunities and activities LCC offers the region,” he added.

New LCC Logo (2)Marrin praised LCC’s marketing director, Jenna Randle, for her efforts organizing several groups on and off campus to suggest a new brand for the college.  The new logo also replaces the 75th Anniversary logo, while the Runnin’ Lope will stay unchanged for the athletic department.
