Jeffrey D. Cathcart…March 16, 1974 – July 21, 2014

A memorial service for Jeffrey Don Cathcart will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Holly, Colorado. Pastors Ralph Plummer and Rick Beard will officiate.

Jeffrey Cathcart was born on March 16, 1974 to Claude D. and Tamie L. (Clark) Cathcart in Syracuse, Kansas. Growing up, Jeff was actively involved in FFA and showed sheep for Prowers County 4-H. He was very involved in school and participated in all high school sports, earning a spot on the All-State Basketball team his senior year before graduating from Holly high school in 1992. He passed away on July 21, 2014.

Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bob Clark; uncles, Bobby Clark and Maynard Allenbaugh; and paternal grandparents Claude and Erma Cathcart

Jeff is survived by his parents, Tamie Cathcart and Harold Thurston, and Claude and wife, Kammie Cathcart all of Holly; children, Chase and Kyra Cathcart of Cullom, Illinois; siblings, Jami Davis of Holly, Jace Cathcart of Lamar, Kallie Cathcart of Holly, Ashley Nolan and Aubree Budd; a grandmother, Margaret Clark of Holly; nieces, Saedee and Averee Davis of Holly, and Emeri Bownes; nephews, Tristan Cathcart, Kobe Davis, and Brevan Davis of Holly, Bently and Jaxon Budd, along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jeff’s children, Chase and Kyra Cathcart, in care of Colorado East Bank and Trust in Holly or Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 950, Lamar, CO, 81052.
