Doris F. Jensen…September 12, 1920 – July 3, 2014

A funeral service for longtime Prowers County resident, Doris F. Jensen will be held at 10:00 AM Friday July 11, 2014 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.

Visitation for Doris will be held from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM Thursday July 10, 2014 at the Peacock Funeral Home and prior to the services on Friday.

Doris F. Jensen was born on September 12, 1920 in Fulton County, Illinois to Elgin and Mabel (Cramblett) Wooddell and departed this life on Thursday July 3, 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 93.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband – Henry Jensen on December 22, 2000, and also by her five siblings.

Doris is survived by her children Betty Faye (Jess) Wilson of Falcon, Colorado, Anton H. Jensen and Martin Earl (Sue) Jensen both of Granada, Colorado, Margaret Marie (Daryl) Schroeder of Florissant, Colorado, Linda Sue (Jack) Hinton of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Henry Michael Jensen of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
