Violet V. Wight…July 6, 1927 – June 29, 2014

Funeral services for Violet Wight will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Las Animas, CO.  Burial will follow in the Bent/Las Animas Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Horber Funeral Chapel in Las Animas.

Violet Viola (Canfield) Wight was born July 6, 1927 to Jefferson and Bertha (Minick) Wight.  She passed away on June 29, 2014 at the La Junta Nursing Home at the age of 86.

She is survived by two sons, Greg Wight of Las Animas, CO and Doug Wight and wife, Karen of Seattle, WA; sister, Garnet of Grand Junction; brother, Dwight of Prescott, AZ; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Richard Wight; and one brother.
