S.E. Colorado Concert Association Hosts Concert at LHS Auditorium

The Southeast Colorado Concert Association is proud to present the Arkansas Valley Wind & Percussion Ensemble, Main Street Ringers and Valley Jazz Orchestra on Tuesday April 22 at 7 p.m. at the Lamar High School auditorium.
The concert band (led by Christi Ludwig) will present a variety of classical repertoire including Canticum, Cinema Paradiso, Polish Rhapsody, The Wearing of the Green, Three Czech Folk Songs and Concordia: A Chinese-American Overture.
The Main Street Ringers (also led by Ludwig) will perform some beautiful handbell repertoire including Meditation on Beautiful Savior, Interlude and Sway.
The Valley Jazz Orchestra (led by Greg Ludwig) will jazz things up a bit with a special tribute to arranger Sammy Nestico. The charts will include 88 Basie Street, Sweet Georgia Brown, Café Amore, Rhapsody in Blue and Tribute to the Duke. This concert is free to the public by special arrangement of AVWPE, Inc. and The Southeast Colorado Concert Association. The association will be kicking off it’s 2014-2015 membership drive an hour before the concert and directly following the concert.

The South Eastern Colorado Concert Association will be selling 2014-15 Season Tickets from 6-6:55 at Lamar High School on April 22nd (Before the Arkansas Valley Wind Percussion Ensemble’s Concert). Season Tickets for all 6 concerts are: $40 – Adult, $15 – Student, and $85 – Family (plus a $0.50 mailing fee)
