Olaf E. Sharp…June 4, 1916 – April 16, 2014

 A Celebration of Life for lifetime Wiley resident Olaf E. Sharp will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Wiley United Methodist Church with Reverend Calob Rundell officiating. Interment will follow in the Wiley Cemetery. 

            Visitation for Olaf will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2014 from 3:00PM until 6:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel. 

            Olaf was born on June 4, 1916 at Lamar, Colorado to Ray O. and Valeria (Mayberry) Sharp and passed away on April 16, 2014 at Weisbrod Memorial Hospital in Eads, Colorado at the age of 97. 

            Olaf was a longtime member of the Wiley Lions Club as well as the Vaquero’s Saddle Club, and a charter member of the Wiley Community Center. 

            He is preceded in death by his wife; Helen Sharp, his parents, sister; Wilma Smith, son-in-law; Keith Dunlap and grandson-in-law; Kelly Gould. 

            Olaf is survived by his children; Charla (Larry Michael) Dunlap of Eads and Jerry (Carolyn) Sharp of Cozad, NE, six grandchildren; Douglas (Diana) Sharp of Prairie Village, KS, Deiadra (Kevin) Smidt of Sheridan, WY, Dawn (Andy) Wright of Lincoln, NE, Leisha Gould of Fountain, CO, Todd (Amber) Dunlap of Carr, CO and Brian (Amanda) Dunlap of Lake Barrington, IL. He is also survived by his fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law; Maurice Smith of Lamar as well as several nieces, nephews other family and a host of friends. 

            Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wiley Lions Club either direct or in care of the funeral home office.  

            Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
