Waterfowl Hunter Seminar to be Held in Lamar

Colorado Parks Wildlife Logo - smLAMAR, Colo. – Colorado Parks and Wildlife is calling all hunters who wish to learn more about hunting waterfowl. The agency is hosting a Waterfowl Hunting Seminar this month during the annual Snow Goose Festival in Lamar.

The Waterfowl Hunting Seminar is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 22, at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Classroom, 2500 S. Main St., Lamar.

District Wildlife Managers Kevin Mahan and Rick Gardner will present information about hunting waterfowl on the eastern plains of Colorado. Topics will range from the basics for beginners, to tips and techniques for the seasoned hunters.

Subjects covered include duck and goose identification, waterfowl biology, use of decoys and much more. Learn how weather and terrain affect waterfowl and how to hunt them by understanding their daily movements.
