Nominations Open for Lamar Citizen of the Year

Who would you nominate to become the Lamar Chamber of Commerce, Citizen of the Year?  Past recipients include Barney Miller, Pat Palmer, Billye Spaar, Darlene Hamilton, Ebbie Reish or Ye Olde Rummage Shoppe Volunteers. 

Nomination forms are available from the Lamar Chamber of Commerce for the 2014 honoree.  The criteria to be considered in presenting a name include:  purpose, leadership, community involvement and cooperation and support.  The person’s profession, position and company of employment as well as a biographical sketch is required.  The nominations should be submitted in a sealed envelope and a confidential panel will select the recipient who will be announced during the Lamar Chamber of Commerce annual banquet, Thursday, January 30 at the Lamar Eagles Aerie Lodge.   

Nominations should be submitted no later than noon on Monday, January 20.  Reservations for the banquet dinner should be made by January 24.  Contact the Lamar Chamber offices at 719-336-4379 for additional information.
