Lex Nichols, Native American Flute Player at Amache Studio February 21

On Friday, February 21, 2014, Lex Nichols will not only play several of his collected Native American flutes, but will hand out awards to area photographers for the Share the Spirit Photography Show and Contest. A soup tasting cuisine will be presented free to the public.
Amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to enter their photography. Rules and regulations are at the High Plains Photographers website at highplainsphotographers.com.
Photographers may submit their entries at Amache Studio, Rds. HH & 34.5, Prowers, CO on February 15 from 10 to noon or February 16 from 1 to 3 pm. Photographs should have a wire hanger on back for easy hanging. Photos may be in color or black and white with any type of subject matter suitable for display. The entry fee is $25 to enter three photos or $10 for one photo. All proceeds go to the Share the Spirit Foundation.
Every year since 2002 Share the Spirit Foundation has provided shoes and socks to needy kids in the area. During the past two years, individuals from the foundation have helped organize a Christmas party for the kids at the HOPE Center along with giving deserving families clothing, food and holiday gifts. On October 11, 2014, Chef Richard Bond, owner of the Mardi Gras School of Cooking in New Orleans will join Share the Spirit Foundation in a fundraiser at Amache Studio.
The Share the Spirit Photography Show and Contest is being held in conjunction with the Snow Goose Festival and is under the guidance of Karen Voepel.
