City of Lamar Sales Tax Revenue Report

Total Sales and Use Tax collections for the City of Lamar for November, 2013, collected in December showed a slight gain of 1.47%, or $3,975.41 over the previous year. Collections for November 2013 were $274,597.90. City Sales Taxes collected for the month showed a 0.29% increase.
Year-to-date collections for that period fared a little better with a 3.01% increase, or $100,811.88 over the same period in 2012. Total Sales and Use Tax collections for 2013 at $3,444,559 compared to 2012 figures of $3,343,747.
Seven of the twelve retail sales categories were down on year to date comparisons between 2012 and 2013.
