Another blue pastel chalk was located on his person during a search incidental to his arrest.
Olivas was transported to the Prowers County Jail where he was booked and held pending a $750 dollar bond on the charge of criminal mischief.
The Lamar Police Department is currently investigating several other incidents involving criminal mischief which are tied to Olivas by his distinctive style. One of those cases involves painted graffiti on the walls of a historic building on Maple Street. Additional charges are anticipated against Olivas.
The Lamar Police Department would like to thank the individuals who took the time to report the incident on 6th at Pearl. Without their involvement a destructive criminal would still be defacing the city.
