Mary Marble – Chivington Post Office Program

Mary Marble of rural Lamar recently presented a program for The Prowers County Historical Society at Big Timbers Museum about the history of the town of Chivington and her many years as Postmaster there. She was surprised when the post office window and facade that she had worked behind all those many years was revealed behind her. The Chivington post office facade was brought in on loan to the museum from Chuck & Sheri Bowen and can now be seen in the Transportation Museum building.
