Mildred E. Holmes…June 17, 1916 – July 10, 2013

A Graveside Memorial Service for Mason, Ohio resident formerly of Lamar, Mildred E. McVey – Holmes will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Fairmount Cemetery with Ray Matteson of the Lamar Christian Church officiating.  

            Mildred was born on June 17, 1916 at Agar, South Dakota to Frank and Gertrude (Buck) Weischedel and passed away on July 10, 2013 at Mason, Ohio at the age of 97. 

            She is preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon W. McVey; second husband, Kenneth O. Holmes; sons, LaVoy McVey and Gary McVey; one grandson, Devin McVey; one great-grandson, Tyler Brooks; and her parents. 

            Mildred is survived by her children, Orin (Ofelia) McVey and Verna (William) Weber, and her half siblings, Bud, Joyce, and Irma. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
