Info on ‘Tagging’ Vandalism Sought by LPD

The Lamar Police Department has been investigating several “taggings” around the city. Many of the “taggings” are occurring in alleyways during the night. The individual(s) responsible for the “taggings” have recently spray painted the newly constructed mural which was erected for Pedal the Plains.

The Lamar Police Department is asking for help in identifying the individuals who are responsible for the destruction of the property.

The citizens of Lamar are asked to watch for suspicious activity or individuals spray painting property. If a person observes suspicious activity they are asked to not attempt to contact the individuals and contact Prowers County Dispatch at 719-336-3977. If any suspicious activity is observed, please get as detailed description as possible of the individual(s) and provide the information to dispatch.
