Daniel Joseph “D.J.” Knight…May 16, 1978 – October 3, 2013

A memorial service for Lamar resident, D.J. Knight will be held at a later date in Sterling, Colorado.  Per D.J.’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation. 

D.J. was born on May 16, 1978 in Sterling, Colorado to Danny L. Knight and Daisy A. (Hall) Knight and departed this life on October 3, 2013 in Lamar at the age of 35. 

D.J. was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and by his paternal grandfather; and by one sister Daisy Webberding. 

D.J. Knight is survived by his wife – Bess Knight; by two children – Joey Knight and Kelly Knight all of Lamar; by two sister – Deeanna Montez of Nevada; and Dawnette Knight of Sterling; by his parents – Daisy and Danny Knight of Sterling; and by his paternal grandmother – Darlene Wheeler also of Sterling; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. 

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the D.J. Knight Memorial Fund in care of Peacock Funeral Home.
