Lindy Wallace, Board President of the Colorado Healthop, will, along with High Plains Community Health Center, host a community coffee on Tuesday, September 17, from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Lamar Community Building. Community members are encouraged to attend the free meeting to find out more about Colorado’s only non-profit health insurance cooperative.
Discussion at the coffee will center on the uniqueness of the Colorado Healtop among all of the health insurance products that will be available under the Affordable Care Act. As with all Co-op’s, members will have a voice in how their company operates and any excess income will be invested in lowering premiums or increasing benefits.
“I have been fortunate to be a member of the founding Board of the Colorado Healthop and able to ensure that our rural needs are included in the plans,” notes High Plains Executive Director Jay Brooke.
Come and find out if you want to be a partner in your insurance plan.
