Lots of youngsters dream of becoming a sports star and making the winning play. The best teachers and coaches foster a spirit of dedication for these youngsters that develop into a concept of practice, practice, practice. Of course, it also helps to have a lot of fun when you’re in the game. That was the case for the dozen or more youngsters that attended the P-P & K event at the Lamar Middle School football field.
These photos from the Thursday, August 22, NFL Punt-Pass & Kick Competition, sponsored by the Lamar Parks and Recreation Department, show how some of the kids put a little extra ‘body english’ into their efforts as they hope to score the longest and most accurate toss and kick.
