Andy C. Waldroupe…August 13, 1949 – August 27, 2013

            Memorial services for Las Animas, CO resident, Andy Waldroupe will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Seed and Supply Church in Las Animas, Colorado.  Pastor Rod Coulter will officiate.  Inurnment will be at a later date.

            Andy Charles Waldroupe was born August 13, 1949 in Las Animas, CO to John H. and Margaret V. (Deathrage) Waldroupe.  He passed away on August 27, 2013 at the age of 64.

            Andy married Sandra Lee George on June 1, 1968. To this union they had two children, Bridget and Justin.  Andy was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed hunting for arrowheads.  He spent many hours reading Louis L’Amore books and loved his “Westerns” but more importantly he loved his family.  He had great pride in his children and grandchildren.

            Andy is survived by his wife, Sandy of the home; children, Bridget Schleiger and husband, James of Loveland, CO and Justin C. Waldroupe of the ranch; seven grandchildren, Kilayne, Taylor, Andrew, Trevor, Rylee, Brody, and Haydin; two brothers, John Waldroupe of Kelso, WA and Luther Waldroupe of Mosca, CO; sister, Nona Parsons of Las Animas, CO; many other relatives and a host of friends. 

            He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Beverly.

            In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Las Animas Schools in care of Horber Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 431, Las Animas, CO 81054.
