Counterfeit Money Being Spread Around Lamar

Lamar Police Press Release
The Lamar Police Department is currently investigating several acts of individuals utilizing counterfeit United States currency to purchase items at local businesses. The denominations range from $5.00 to $100.00.
Officers have arrested one individual for the possession of counterfeit bills and are looking into several more individuals who may be utilizing the bills. Officers responded to the 900 block E. Olive St, on a report of a subject passing fictitious currency. Khristopher Cornelius, 27, of Lamar was arrested in this case and is held on $25,000.00 bond.
