Hwy 287 Closed in Campo

The Colorado Department of Transportation has closed Highway 287 northbound, nine miles north of the Oklahoma borderline in Campo, Colorado.
A collision between a train and a semi trailer occurred at around 8:30am this Tuesday morning, May 28. There are no reports of injuries at this time, although smoke from the accident was visible from a distance in the Campo community.
The northbound traffic on Highway 287 was closed off at 8:52am and local detours around the wreckage site are being used.
