Total Sales and Use Tax Collections for the City of Lamar for this past March, 2013 were up slightly, at 1.24% for a gain of $3,849.63. Collections for March 2013 were $315,417.92 compared to last year at $311,568.29. Set alone, the city sales tax for March improved by 3.05%.
Year to date figures show a 3.99% gain for Total Sales and Use Tax Collections for a diffference of $46,218.01. YTD collections for 2013 are $1,205,468.88 for the first quarter of the year, compared to 2012 at $1,159,250.87.
Tax collection gains for year to date comparisons on the twelve retail trades categories were split at six up and six down.
