The Honkers of the Lamar Chamber of Commerce stopped by to visit the guys at Golden Plains Insurance. New owner and Lamar resident, Nick Palmer, recently purchased PJ Wilson Insurance and formed Golden Plains Insurance on Jan. 1, 2013. Golden Plains is an independent insurance agency, giving them the freedom to write policies from many different companies. Being an independent insurance agency helps to ensure that their customers receive the best policy to meet their needs and budget. Golden Plains Insurance currently offers Farm/Ranch, Crop, Crop Hail, Auto, Homeowners, Commercial, Bonds, Boat, Event and other specialty types of insurance. Golden Plains Insurance is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and after hours appointments can be arranged.
