Graveside memorial services for longtime Las Animas, Colorado resident, Julia (Self) Yegge were held Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Ordway Cemetery in Ordway, Colorado. Per Julia’s request cremation has taken place.
Julia Marie (Self) Yegge was born on January 20, 1921 in Atoka, OK to Enic and Madelin (Martin) Self. She passed away on April 3, 2013 at Juniper Village in Lamar, Colorado at the age of 92.
Julia is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Doyle of Lamar, Colorado; son, Sam Castro of Cocolalla, ID; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Yegge; and sons, Steven Castro and Stacy Castro.
