Mass of Christian burial for Lamar, Colorado resident, Adela Jaramillo will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar with Father Charles Sena officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Rosary/scripture service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 also at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Adela Louisa Jaramillo was born August 26, 1918 in Emplazado, San Miguel Co., New Mexico to Graciano and Sipriana (Jaramillo) Sena. She passed away April 10, 2013 in Lamar, Colorado at the age of 94.
On June 29, 1936 she married Claudio Gile Jaramillo in Sapello, New Mexico.
In 1952, Adela, Claudio and their family moved from New Mexico to Lamar. She was a woman of strong faith. She worked hard all her life and was very active up until the past two years.
Adela is survived by her children; Ernest (Corina) Jaramillo of Lamar; Vicky (Robert) Loeven of Fort Collins, Colorado; Chris (Felix) Gonzales of Lamar; Steven (Terry) Jaramillo of Lamar; and Salvador L. (Lee Ann) of Greeley, Colorado; two brothers, Graciano Jr. (Mary Lou) Sena of Raton, New Mexico and Roger Sena of Las Vegas, New Mexico; sisters-in-law, Eva Sena of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Carmen Sena of Las Vegas, New Mexico and Judy Sena of Tennessee. She is also survived by 46 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claudio; twins who died in infancy; son, Eloy Maccario Jaramillo; two granddaughters, Eufalia and Janet Jaramillo; brothers, Gilbert, Gene, John and Frank; sisters, Jesus, Corina, Kate, Sara and Mary Lou.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Juniper Village for the care and support they provided to Adela during her stay.
