Runnin’ Lopes Baseball Program Ranked #1 in Nation

(Lamar, Colorado; March 27, 2013) Lamar Community College’s Baseball team is currently ranked #1 in the nation according to the March 27, 2013 NJCAA National Poll ( http://goo.gl/pps2O ). The Runnin’ Lopes are 27-5 overall and 11-0 in conference.

“It was both a surprise and an honor to see the national rankings this morning and see that Lamar Community College is now ranked number one in the country. We have a team full of quality young men who have worked very hard to reach this point in the season. We just need to use this as momentum for the rest of the season and into the playoffs at the end of season”, stated head coach Scott Crampton

LCC President John Marrin said “I am very proud of our coaches and players in achieving a number one rating in the NJCAA polls. It speaks to their dedication and hard work. Each of our athletic teams strive for excellence not only on the field but in the classroom. Our baseball team, under the direction of Scott Crampton, has certainly achieved this goal.”
