LCC Rodeo Team Geared Up for Spring Season

The Lamar Community College Rodeo Team is geared up for their spring season. Sophomore Carter Coble enters the spring ranked 5th in the regional standings in steer wrestling, freshman Keely Smith is currently 4th in barrel racing and 4th in all-around, and freshmen Clint Buringa and Tucker White (not pictured) are ranked 5th in team roping. The LCC team kicks off their spring season on March 15th in Gillette, WY at Gillette College. LCC head coach Fred Sherwood commented, “We are halfway through our season and these four are in very good shape to qualify for the College National Finals. With 5 rodeos left the women’s team is 6th and the men’s team is 9th in the Central Rocky Mountain Region.”
