Lamar Community College Hosts Roping Clinic with Cole Dorenkamp

(Lamar, Colorado; March 6, 2013) On March 23rd and 24th Lamar Community College Rodeo Team will host a Calf Roping/Breakaway and Team Roping Clinic from 9a-5p at the LCC outdoor rodeo arena. LCC Assistant Rodeo Coach and PRCA Cowboy, Cole Dorenkamp will be the featured clinician.

Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend; instruction will be tailored to participants individual levels. This clinic will include ground work and arena time on both days. Make sure to reserve your spot early; entries are limited to ensure a quality experience for all participants. The cost for one event is $150.00, the cost for both events is $225.00, and a $100.00 deposit is due by March 15.

Cole Dorenkamp began his rodeo career at a young age in Little Britches, continuing on to Colorado Jr. Rodeo Assn and High School Rodeos. He then competed for Lamar Community College where he was a Central Rocky Mountain Region All-Around Champion and a Team Roping Champion. Cole continued at Gillette College and Oklahoma Panhandle State University after attending LCC. Dorenkamp is a 4-time College National Finals Rodeo qualifier. Today, Cole is the assistant rodeo coach for LCC and competes professionally in team ropings and PRCA rodeos.
