Homicide Investigation Underway in Lamar

On Wednesday, 01/23/2013, at approximately 6:21am, Lamar Police Officers were dispatched to 805 S. 9th Street on the report of a dead body.
Upon arrival officers discovered Rory Alba, age 45, of Lamar to be unresponsive. Lamar Ambulance Service personnel responded, but were unable to revive the victim.
Officers on scene observed suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. The other occupant of the apartment was arrested at the scene and is being held pending further investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and officers are currently processing the crime scene and following up leads.
