S.E.Colorado Wool Growers Association to Hold Annual Meeting & Sheep Producer Program

The Southeast Colorado Wool Growers Association will conduct its annual meeting and producer program on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Event will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Dennis Community Building, 208 6th Street in Fowler.
The Association meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch and then an informative program presented by Dr. Nancy Irlbeck, Associate Dean, College of Agricultural Sciences, Colorado State University. Irlbeck will discuss feeds and caution to be used with various feeds, sheep diseases and general sheep care.
This program will be beneficial for owners of both large and small flocks. All sheep producers in Southeast Colorado are encouraged to attend, and new members are always welcome.
Lunch will be provided for pre-registered participants. Meat, drinks and table service will be provided, and participants are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. To register, contact Janet Golden at the CSU Extension office in Rocky Ford, 719-254-7608, or stop by the office at 411 North 10th Street. Registration deadline is December 28.
