A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident Madeline Mauch Sims will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor Mark Viar of the Redeeming Love Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Wiley Cemetery.
Visitation for Madeline will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Peacock Chapel.
Madeline was born on June 22, 1924 at Barrel Springs, Colorado to Oscar C. and Frances I. (Bauchamp) Short and passed away on December 5, 2012 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 88.
She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Reuben Mauch and her 2nd husband Paul Sims, her sons; Charles and Wesley Mauch and her parents.
Madeline is survived by her children; Raymond (Toni) Mauch of Lamar, Stanley (Sue) Mauch of Pueblo, CO, Bernice (John) Bellomy, Keith (Sharon) Mauch all of Lamar and Cindy (Boyd) Hudson of Brook Haven, Mississippi. She is also survived by her sixteen grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren as well as other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice or to a charity of one’s choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
