Jeanne Pollart, 73, of Guymon passed away Saturday afternoon, December 29, 2012 at the Morton County Care Center in Elkhart, Kansas.
Opal Jeanne was born April 9, 1939 in Denver, Colorado to Ralph Dean and Mattie Opal (Nickerson) Eakin. Her father passed away when she was six years old and she was raised by Elmer Hoyt.
Jeanne grew up and attended school in Syracuse, Kansas. She graduated from the Syracuse High School with the Class of 1957. Jeanne and Gary Pollart of Holly, Colorado were married and they had four children: Kimberly, Beth, Shannon and Scott.
Jeanne moved to Guymon in 1967 from Holly, Colorado. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and had worked at Ideal, Homeland, Dunaway Manor and Costal convenience store.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Elmer Hoyt; an infant brother, David Dean Eakin and one son, Michael Scott Hoyt Pollart on July 19, 1998.
Survivors include her three daughters: Kimberly and husband, Randy Hickmon of Guymon, Oklahoma, Beth and husband, Von Parkey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Shannon and husband, Ronnie Miller of Hooker, Oklahoma; her grandchildren: Reid and Kelly Hickmon of Weatherford, Texas, Paige and Trey Parkey of Oklahoma City and Kyle and Shania Miller of Hooker; two great grandchildren, Ryan and Madison Hickmon; and two sisters: Fonda and husband, Leon Scoggins of Aurora, Colorado and Gaynell and husband, Steve Shuffelburger of Syracuse, Nebraska.
Funeral mass will be conducted on Thursday morning, January 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Guymon. Graveside services will be Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) at the Holly Cemetery in Holly, Colorado. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
