Guyla Tempel…September 22, 1939 – December 12, 2012

A service of Celebration for lifelong Big Bend resident, Guyla Tempel will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Wiley United Methodist Church with Pastor Calob Rundell of the Wiley United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Wiley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at the Peacock Funeral Home.

Guyla was born on September 22, 1939 at Lamar, Colorado to Guy and Dorothy (Davidson) Coffey and passed away on December 12, 2012 at the home of her daughter in May Valley at the age of 73.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Loren Tempel, her parents; Guy and Dorothy Coffey, sister; Dorothy Kathryn Luebe, brother; Wallace Coffey, sister-in-law; Melody Tempel; and brother-in-law; Duane Luebe; and also by Jodie Stevenson.

Guyla is survived by her two children; Curtis (Cathy) Tempel of Big Bend, Coleen (Danny) Tinnes of May Valley; by 6 grandchildren; Lauren and Luke Tinnes; Amber (Shane) Irving; Zane and Erin Tempel and Leighton Tempel. She is also survived by her brother-in-law; Gale Tempel of Big Bend; sister-in-law; Marilyn Luebe of Clinton, IA; nephews; Adam (Staci) Tempel of Haxtun, CO; Jake (Cherie) Tempel of Big Bend; Jim (Beth) Luebe of Colorado Springs; Ed (Christine) Luebe of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Jonas (Carrie) Tempel of Denver; and nieces; Carolyn Luebe of Clinton, Iowa; Sue (Nick) Thompson of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Gayle Crawford of Lamar; she is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.  

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Wiley United Methodist Church and/or Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
