Giving It the Gas at Tank and Tummy
Russ Baldwin | Dec 21, 2012 | Comments 0
The wait to get fuel from the pumps at Tank and Tummy on South Main and West Lee Streets in Lamar is now over. New pumps were installed and made operational for the public this past week.
It was a long wait, as the pumps were damaged from the June windstorms that struck Lamar and portions of southeast Colorado. The overhead sign and framework surrounding the pumps were pushed to the ground by wind gusts and some of the framework landed on top of the pumps, taking them out of service.
The pumps were removed and the storage tanks were not damaged, so all that was left was the installation of the replacement pumps.
