Las Animas Resident Killed in Highway 50 Crash

 

The Colorado State Patrol is currently investigating a one vehicle accident involving a single fatality that occurred on Colorado 50, about five miles east of La Junta.  

A 1989 Ford Ranger, driven by Ronald L. Six, age 62, of Las Animas, Colorado, was eastbound on Colorado 50 when the Ford Ranger went off the right side of the roadway. After leaving the roadway, the Ford Ranger traveled east before rolling one and one half times, coming to rest facing northeast on its top. The driver and lone occupant of the Ford Ranger was ejected from the vehicle during the roll. The driver died as a result of the injuries sustained from the crash. 

At this time, alcohol, drugs and speed are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
