Voter ID Information for Prowers County

Acceptable Forms of Identification for the purpose of voting.
The following types of identification are acceptable and must have a Colorado address:
- A valid Colorado driver’s license;
- A valid identification card issued by the Department of Revenue;
- A valid US Passport;
- A valid employee ID card with a photo of the eligible elector issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the United States government or of Colorado, or by any county, municipality, board, authority or other political subdivision of Colorado;
- A valid pilot’s license issued by the Federal Aviation Administration or other authorized agency of the United States;
- A valid US military ID card with a photo (may have an out of state address);
- A copy of a current* utility bill or bank statement, government check, pay check, or other government document that shows the name and address of the elector. For example:
- A cable bill or telephone bill,
- A pay check from a government institution or private company,
- A Certificate of Degree of Indian or Alaskan Native Blood, or
- A valid Medicare or Medicaid card issued by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (formerly the United States Health Care Financing Administration);
- A certified copy of a US birth certificate for the elector issued in the United States (will have a raised seal);
- A certified documentation of naturalization;
- A valid student identification card with a photograph of the eligible elector issued by an institute of higher education in Colorado.
- Verification that a voter is a resident of a group facility.

A valid veteran identification card issued by the United States department of veterans affairs veterans health administration with a photograph of the eligible elector.
- A valid identification card issued by a federally recognized tribal governmentcertifying tribal membership.
- * “Current” means that the date of the document is within 60 days of the date submitted for identification purposes unless the document states a longer billing cycle.
The following are NOT valid forms of identification:
- Social Security Card
- Any of the items listed above with an address NOT in Colorado (military ID excepted)

The last day to register to vote in the November General Election is tomorrow, Tuesday, October 9. Early voting will be conducted between October 22 and November 2 between 8:30am and 4:30pm at the Lamar SOS Center on East Olive in Lamar.
