RE-2 Board Meets October 8 in Regular Session

The regular monthly meeting of the RE-2 District School Board will begin at 6:30pm this Monday evening, October 8. An executive session has been placed on the agenda for discussion of the expulsion of a student from the Lamar Middle School.
A first and second reading of police revisions will be conducted, a second reading on the support of a Staff Salary Schedule and a first reading regarding Home Schooling. Several trip requests will be considered including: 9th Grade GEAR UP Students to CSU Pueblo this week for a college visit, a February trip for middle school students for the Optimist Brain Bowl in Colorado Springs and a DECA trip to Pueblo West High School in November.
The board’s agenda includes hiring a part time activity bus driver and substitute bus driver, an extra duty drama sponsor for the high school and an extra duty Knowledge Bowl sponsor at the high school. The superintendent’s report will include an Owner’s representative from the BEST projects, an update from BOCES and information regarding the CASD Annual Convention in November in Colorado Springs.
