Members of the Prowers Medical Center Auxiliary (left to right: Donna Alexander, Vivian Ply, Helen Emick, Kathy Smith, Mary Rita Simmons, Eileen Hartshorn, and Helen Cook) stand with Lamar Community College President John Marrin as they give a “large” donation to the Lamar Community College Foundation. The annual gift provides four $1,000 scholarships to Level II LCC Nursing students. Established in 1954, the Auxiliary donates thousands of volunteer hours, undertakes numerous fundraising activities and provides the important role of staffing The Shoppe @ PMC, the hospital gift shop.
Members meet every Monday from 8:30 –11:30am. Community members who are interested in cooking, sewing, crafting, quilting and embroidery, or would like to volunteer their time to a worthy cause may contact Karen Bryant at 719.336.5147.
