Lonnie V. Eirhart…August 25, 1949 – October 10, 2012

A Graveside service for longtime Lamar resident, Lonnie Eirhart will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Riverside Cemetery with Pastor Harold Bohl of the Lamar First Southern Baptist Church officiating. 

Visitation for Mr. Eirhart will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the funeral home. 

Lonnie was born on August 25, 1949    at Oak Park, Illinois to Virgil L. and Helen M. (Higgins) Eirhart and passed away on October 10, 2012 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at the age of 63. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; infant grandchild, brothers; Bill and Richard and sisters; Naomi and Carol. 

Lonnie is survived by his wife; Shirley Eirhart of the family home in Lamar, children; Jefferson (Sheri) Eirhart and Albert (Stacey) Eirhart all of Lamar, six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his siblings; Virginia Hunt of Lamar, Barbara (Vern) Gold of Georgia, Dennis Eirhart and Lynn Eirhart both of Lamar and Robert Eirhart of Omaha, NE, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.  

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice or to the Southeast Colorado Cancer Initiative either direct or in care of the funeral home office. 

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
