Lamar Sales Tax Revenue, July 2012

July revenues for the City of Lamar from Sales and Use Tax collected in August were down 4.20% but showed a Year-to-Date gain of 5.23% from this time, compared to 2011. The monthly difference was off $11,520, however the YTD gain was up $113,012 over last year.
City Sales Tax was 2.46%, an increase of $6,149 between 2011 and 2012. Use Tax for the same period was off 75.9% for a loss of $18,124.91. Use Taxes, however, reflect specific projects or events and are not related to general retail sales revenue.
