Lamar Community College Celebrates 75th Birthday

(Lamar, Colorado; September 7, 2012) Lamar Community College is proud to observe its 75th birthday on Thursday, September 13, 2012. In honor of this milestone LCC will be celebrating throughout the day with a variety of activities. The festivities will begin with 75th anniversary cookies for students, faculty and staff on Thursday morning.

The main event will be a BBQ from 11:30a-12:30p at the Betz Technology Center Lawn for all students, faculty and staff. To commemorate the milestone, an all-student/staff photo will be taken. The 75th Anniversary Committee has a variety of activities planned for the BBQ and encourages all students, staff, and faculty to attend the historic event.

Within its 75 years of operation, LCC has grown to offer 39 degrees and 23 certificates of study for hundreds of students annually. In honor of the 75th anniversary, Lamar Community College will host multiple events throughout the year, including a homecoming in conjunction with graduation activities this spring.
