Lamar Chamber Honkers and Directors Welcome New City Administrator

On Friday, August 31st the Lamar Chamber of Commerce Honkers and Directors Welcomed the New City Administrator John Sutherland, Jr. to Lamar and his new position. Mr. Sutherland, who holds an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa, brings a decade of local government experience to Lamar, including tenures as County Manager in Luna County and City Manager for the City of Tucumcari, both located in New Mexico. Mr. Sutherland officially began his new position with the city as of August 27, replacing Steven Rabe who acted as interim City Administrator since the departure of Bill Pfeilsticker.
