Boards and Commissions appointments
DENVER — Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced several Boards and Commissions appointments today, September 5, 2012. The appointments were to the Board of Registered Psychotherapists; the Colorado Banking Board; the Colorado Tourism Office Board of Directors; the Peace Officers Standards and Training Board; the State Board of Addiction Counselors Examiners; the State Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners; the State Board of Marriage and Family Therapist Examiners; the State Board of Plumbers; the Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission; the Water and Wastewater Facility Operators Certification Board; and the Water Quality Control Commission.
The Peace Officers Standards and Training Board oversees the certification of training programs, training academies and instructors of police officer candidates. The Board also certifies qualified peace officers. The members appointed for terms expiring June 30, 2015:
- James F. Faull of Lamar, an active sheriff from a county in this state, reappointed.
- Kirk M. Taylor of Rye, an active sheriff from a county in this state, reappointed.
- Daniel J. Oates of Aurora, to serve as a police chief, reappointed.
- Mark R. Beckner of Longmont, and to serve as a police chief, reappointed.
