Jerry Kilpatrick…March 31, 1942 – July 8, 2012

            A Memorial Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, Jerry Kilpatrick will be held at a later date.   Per Jerry’s request cremation will take place and there will be no public visitation.

            Jerry was born on March 31, 1942 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Ernest W. Kilpatrick and Garnette Mae George-Kilpatrick and departed this life on Sunday July 8, 2012 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at the age of 70.

            Jerry was preceded in death by his father-Ernest “Pat” Kilpatrick; by his mother and step-father- Garnette and Reece A. Nelson; by one son- Carl Kilpatrick; by one grandson – Kyle Jensen; and by one nephew Rex Lusk.

            Jerry Kilpatrick is survived by his wife – Sandy Kilpatrick of the family home in Lamar; by four daughters – Edie Kilpatrick (Chris) of Seadrift, Texas; Donna (Marty) Ament of Gunnison, CO; Vicky (Clarence) Felzien of Pueblo, CO; and Mia (Dave) Oswald of Colorado Springs; by three step-children –Tony (Joanna) Gruntmeir of Enid, OK; Tim (Cindy) Gruntmeir of Pueblo, CO; and Teri Gruntmeir of Lamar; by two sisters – Katie Yoder of Lamar; and Pat (Dave)  Griset of Colorado Springs; and by one brother- Frank (Sue) Kilpatrick of Lamar.  Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

            Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
