Wiley Hosting Sheriff’s Meeting Regarding Sex Predator

The Prowers County Sheriff’s Office will hold a special community meeting in Wiley, Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 7pm at the Wiley Community Building. The Sheriff’s Office will detail information regarding a person registered as a sexually violent predator who is moving from Lamar into the Wiley community.

Thirty-two year old Rodger A. Aldridge was convicted of attempted sexual assault on a female when she was under 15 years of age. The incident occurred in the area in 2005 and as of last September, Aldridge was serving the remainder of his sentence in Lamar under parole supervision. The terms of his parole last year required he wear a GPS tracking device and undergo weekly therapy sessions in La Junta until the end of 2011. He was also under weekly supervision from a local parole officer in Prowers County.

Some sex offenders are required by law to register changes of address with local law enforcement authorities, in this case, the Prowers County Sheriff’s Office. The June 12 meeting is being held to alert local citizens to Aldridge’s new address in their community. Citizens who wish additional information can access the Prowers County Sheriff’s website or go online at www.sor.state.co.us and follow the appropriate links. Residents may contact Undersheriff Ron Trowbridge at the Prowers County Sheriff’s Office at 336-8050.
