‘Stars Above’ at Prowers Medical Center

About a dozen silver colored stars are now lining a portion of the hallway wall leading to the New Beginnings Birth Center at Prowers Medical Center. The PMC, “A Star is Born” program, administered by the hospital Foundation Board, is helping raise funds for the Foundation through the purchase of personalized stars.

The stars come in two sizes and prices. The four inch star costs $50 and allows for two lines of script, the six inch star is $75 and has space for five lines of script. Foundation Executive Director, Mike Bryant said earlier this spring, that it’s a great concept to witness the birth of a child into a family, highlighting parents and other relatives, or grandparents might want to purchase one or two for their grandchildren, no matter how long ago they were born. The specially cast stars are produced by local artist Jeremy Cooper and made their debut at Prowers Medical Center this past March.

Contact Mike Bryant at the PMC Foundation for more information on creating your family’s start at 336-7065 or email to foundation@prowersmedical.com.
