Former Lamar Community College rodeo standouts Tyler Schnaufer of Pueblo and Chelsie Willhoite of McClave will compete in the College National Finals Rodeo on June 10-16 in Casper, Wyoming. Tyler will represent the University of Wyoming in team roping and tie-down roping while Chelsie rides for Northeast Texas Community College. Tyler was the Central Rocky Mountain Region champion team roping (header) and finished fourth in tie-down roping, while Chelsie finished second in breakaway roping for the Southern Region. “Tyler qualified last year for the CNFR for LCC last year, and Chelsie finished fourth and fifth in regional standings in breakaway and team roping in 2010. Both have a great chance to do very well. We are very proud of them,” commented LCC Rodeo Coach Fred Sherwood.
