Two Local Girls Compete in USA Gymnastics Sanctioned Event

Two girls from the Wranglers Gymnastics Team from Wild West Athletics in Lamar competed in the optional division in Wheatridge the last weekend of April at 5280 Gymnastics. There were over 180 gymnasts from the state of Colorado participating in this USA Gymnastics Sanctioned event. Rebecca Henderson of Lamar took 5th place in the all around division with a 34.25 all around. Her highest score of the meet was a 9.20 on floor where she also took 5th place. Alyssa Splitter of Sheridan Lake took 7th in the all around division with an all around score of 32.75. Her highest score of the meet was an 8.50 on the balance beam. This is Alyssas first season to move up to the optional level and was her first meet of this season. Both girls represented Wild West Athletics well and will be competing in Wheatridge at Tigar Gymnastics later this month.
